All Set West Wins Best Industry Skills Initiative – Thanks to YOU!
We’re beyond excited to share that All Set West has been crowned Best Industry Skills Initiative at the 2025 Broadcast Tech Innovation Awards!
This achievement isn’t just ours – it belongs to the incredible community of production companies, freelancers, educators, and local organisations who’ve joined forces with us to make real change happen in the West of England screen sector.

Celebrating our Industry Connectors AND our talent
Judges praised All Set West as “a skills initiative that delivers real, measurable change, with its inclusive focus and innovative approach to building a new creative pipeline.” That pipeline exists because of YOU – the passionate professionals and organisations who’ve opened doors, shared knowledge, and created opportunities for new talent.
But let’s be clear: this success is also the success of the amazing trainees and diverse talent in our region. All Set West exists because the talent is here – passionate, determined, and ready to shine.
From first-time runners stepping onto set, to trainees moving into paid roles on major productions, to new entrants discovering career paths they never thought possible – your hard work and ambition are what make this project matter. Every workshop attended, every placement completed, every skill learned is building the future of our industry.
Programme Manager Jane Coulter summed it up perfectly:
“All Set West is all about building a supportive community for entrants, and we couldn’t do that without the help of our Industry Connectors. But equally, this award belongs to the incredible new talent in our region. Their success is our success.”
